Villa Bruno Di Belmonte

Villa Bruno Di Belmonte

Situated in Capo Passero, a small Sicilian fishing village, the villa occupies what was once the observation point for all the fishing operations of Tonnara (for tuna fish). Tonnara belongs to tradition of a culture; the tuna fishing and all the processes for the preparation of the fish has been always a big event for local people. Property of the Bruno di Belmonte family, the last Gattopardo of Sicily, this fishing complex is mentioned by Tucidide in his opera, The War of Peloponneso. It is possible to book a room or the whole villa.
