Tirta Ayu Hotel And Restaurant

This taste of the Rajah’s life in rural East Bali is nestled within the grounds of Tirtagangga Water Palace, amongst some of the most spectacular scenery Bali has to offer. With the warm crystal clear ocean in the distance, this palace was built by and for the last Rajah as a splendid weekend retreat. Construction began in 1947 and every day he could be seen waist deep in mud, working alongside the local craftsmen creating this amazing miniature Asian Versailles. The mornings are stunning and inspire many guests to walk, take photographs and many artists have painted these stunning landscapes. Island healers have praised the waters of the holy spring at Tirtagangga for their healing and youth giving powers. It is said that if one bathes in the waters of Tirtagangga on the full moon, one is blessed with lasting youth and all illnesses will be healed.
